About OMT WORKING GROUP
OMT stands for Operations Maintenance and Training. We're a free tech library for IT lovers: developers, network and telecom engineers, sysadmins, cloud, security and data people, and the students who will join them. We collect the best free books, courses and standards, write practical guides, and run an AI assistant that points you to legitimate sources.
We're a gateway, not a publisher
OMT WORKING GROUP doesn't write or sell books. We give IT people one platform to find the books, courses and standards they're tired of searching for, and we send you to the official source to read, borrow or buy them. All credit goes to the authors and publishers.
What we believe
One place to look
No more hunting across dozens of sites. We bring books from Google Books, Open Library, Project Gutenberg and official publishers together.
Honest access labels
Every resource says clearly whether it's on OMT, free and open, from an official source, or something to buy or borrow.
Respect for creators
We don't host or link to unauthorised copies. When a book is in copyright, we point you to legal options.
Light and fast
Pages are built to load quickly on mobile data, with no heavy images or fonts.
How access works
- Free & open Public-domain or openly licensed works, read on the official source (for example OpenStax or Project Gutenberg).
- Official source Free resources on the provider's own website, such as Microsoft Support.
- Preview A free sample on Google Books. Buy or borrow the book for the full text.
- Buy or borrow Copyrighted books. We describe them and help you find a library copy or an edition to buy.
